The story of Aik Aur Pakeezah appears to be inspired by a real-life incident that took place in Rawalpindi/Islamabad a few years ago. In that case, a man subjected a young couple to severe abuse.
He blackmailed them, stripped them at gunpoint, recorded videos, physically assaulted them, and later they were gang-raped. The incident received widespread media attention, and the accused was arrested.
However, the victims later refused to identify him, despite massive public support on social media. It remains unclear whether they were threatened or pressured, but both denied recognizing the culprit. Reportedly, the real-life culprit got a lifetime imprisonment.
