YouTuber Ducky Bhai released from Lahore jail amid ongoing gambling app case

YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, has been released from Lahore’s Camp Jail after the court confirmed his bail documents were in order.

Earlier, a local court had directed his immediate release. Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo issued the release warrant, instructing authorities to free the accused provided he faces no other pending cases.

Rehman is accused of illegally promoting an online gambling application, a case filed by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). The YouTuber was taken into custody following his arrest at Lahore Airport on 17th August.

The NCCIA’s inquiry centres on allegations that Ducky Bhai used his online platform to endorse the gambling app, prompting a formal criminal investigation.

The Lahore High Court had previously granted Saad-ur-Rehman bail. The district court’s release order followed this decision, completing the required procedural steps. Court officials confirmed that all bail bonds were thoroughly examined before issuing the release warrant.

A day prior, his release had been delayed as the court’s allocated judicial time expired. Barrister Amrit Sheikh, representing Ducky Bhai, stated that processing and verifying the release order required additional time.

With the warrant now issued, Saad-ur-Rehman has been freed, though the NCCIA’s investigation into the gambling allegations continues.
