Director Khalilur Rehman Qamar has received threats from an unknown person demanding Rs1.5 crore in extortion, threatening to leak an obscene video if the demand is not met.The Lahore police have taken notice of the incident and launched an investigation.
According to Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, he was at home when an unknown caller contacted him, threatening him and demanding Rs1.5 crore through repeated calls and messages. The caller warned that if the amount was not paid, an obscene video involving Amna Urooj would be made viral.
The renowned writer stated that he continuously received extortion calls and messages containing serious threats for non-payment of the demanded money.
Meanwhile, Lahore DIG Operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran took notice of the matter and formed a special team to investigate the incident. Police officials said the suspect would soon be brought to justice and that a thorough investigation is underway.
