PTI rally in Peshawar: CM Afridi urges one clear policy for KP

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi addressed a massive PTI rally in Peshawar, urging the provincial government to follow a single, consistent policy that reflects the needs and aspirations of the people. Thousands of supporters gathered to hear Afridi stress the importance of unity in governance.

Addressing the PTI’s gathering here, the chief minister recalled his commitment to stability, public welfare, and effective governance in the province.

Calling for the need of one policy for the province, the CM said, “[The] KP is not a laboratory; it belongs to the proud Pashtuns. From now on, the government and the people will follow one policy.”

Afridi said that political narratives should not interfere with governance. He differentiated between genuine leadership and political or institutional figures, stressing that accountability and respect for roles are essential.

The rally saw strong support for PTI founder Imran Khan, with workers chanting slogans for a march to D-Chowk. Afridi responded by saying he would soon call for the march while continuing to prioritize constitutional and legal processes.

PTI leaders at the rally, included former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and KP President Junaid Akbar, condemned attempts to portray the party as a threat to national security.

They stressed that PTI’s focus remains on democracy, governance, and public welfare, warning against the use of institutions for political purposes.

Afridi concluded by reiterating PTI’s commitment to consistent governance and the people’s mandate. “The people of KP have spoken, and their support ensures that we will follow one clear policy–one that reflects their needs, their safety, and their future,” he said.

The rally highlighted the party’s commitment to governance, development, and public participation in decision-making.
