Islamabad:
The Government of Pakistan has launched a comprehensive Youth Skills Development Program 2025, aiming to empower over 500,000 young individuals with modern digital, technical, and vocational training across the country.
According to officials from the Ministry of Education and Professional Training, the initiative will focus on digital skills, green jobs, and entrepreneurship, particularly in underserved areas such as Balochistan, South Punjab, and interior Sindh.
“This is a transformative step toward a stronger, self-reliant Pakistan,” said Federal Minister Aamir Rehman, during the inauguration ceremony in Islamabad today. “We’re not just preparing youth for jobs — we’re creating future-ready citizens.”
The program will partner with international organizations, including UNDP and Coursera, to deliver globally recognized certifications. Scholarships, monthly stipends, and startup grants will also be offered to top-performing students.
