Magnitude 6 earthquake strikes east coast of Honshu, Japan

An earthquake of magnitude 6 struck near the east coast of Honshu, Japan, on Saturday, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said.

The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), according to GFZ.

Similarly, tremors of an earthquake were also felt in various areas of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to the Seismological Center.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 22 kilometers southeast of Pattan while its magnitude was recorded at 4.3 with a depth of 31 kilometers.

Earthquake jolts Karachi

Meanwhile, the jolts were felt in the areas of Pattan, Shangla, and Battagram.

Citizens, and people came out of their homes, while Seismological Center said that the quake occurred at 8:59 PM.

On September, a quake of 3.2 magnitude was felt in parts of Karachi, which was recorded seven kilometres north west of Malir.
