He has also been in a string of controversies over the years and he just won a defamation case against Meesha Shafi.
Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar have both been fighting cases against each other for over 8 years now. The harassment case by Meesha is still pending while Ali Zafar won the defamation case that he had filed years back. His career initially took a hit but he has been able to preserve his professional success. In a latest podcast appearance, he spoke about his feelings regarding leaving showbiz altogether.
Ali shared that he loves his career and he received love and respect from Pakistan. But in his heart, he is just an artist. He came into showbiz with an innocent wish, to create art. His only wish was to keep creating art but when politics comes in and hit you then it changes you into someone that you are not. Thus at that point he thought that he should just leave everything. His family’s support is what got him though everything.
