In separate messages, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the public on Eid and highlighted the spiritual lessons of Ramadan, including patience, sacrifice, piety and service to others. Their statements also carried a strong message of solidarity with Muslims facing hardship, especially those affected by the conflict in Gaza and the wider Middle East.
Leadership stresses unity, service and shared responsibility
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Eidul Fitr was a blessed occasion that reflected Allah’s mercy and immense grace. He said the festival revives the values of sacrifice, unity, service to humanity and collective responsibility.
The prime minister said Pakistan’s thoughts were also with the people suffering in Gaza and across the Middle East. He described their pain as a stark reminder that the Muslim world urgently needs greater unity. At a time when the world is facing disorder and instability, he said, the greatest strength of Muslims lies in their solidarity.
