Main Manto Nahi Hoon is a hit ARY Digital drama serial which airs on Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm. It is one of the top viewed Pakistani dramas which stirred an online debate due to student teacher romance.
The drama features Humayun Saeed and Sajal Aly in lead roles, the project is written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and directed by Nadeem Baig. Despite the excitement surrounding it, the drama has faced continuous criticism from several industry figures, including Atiqa Odho, Nadia Khan, and Shamoon Abbasi.
Recently, Atiqa Odho has informed that Main Manto Nahi Hoon’s student teacher relationship has stirred a huge debate in Lahore after which the university campuses have bans shooting.
Talking about it, Atiqa Odho said, “I had been to Lahore where I got to know that the schools have decided not to give their campuses for drama shoots because the institution in Manto has faced backlash after the airing of the drama series because it showed disgraceful content.”
They also said that the schools should demand the complete script before giving their campuses to shoot how they would be able to control the narrative.
Social media users are coming up with mixed responses, with most of the social media users lauding the decision of the educational institutions. A few, on the other hand, are saying that they have witnessed student teacher relationships in the universities.
